J. Stewart: Calculus (Early Transcendentals), 8th Edition, Brooks/Cole.


Students may only use the approved scientific calculator, Casio FX-300MS Plus, on course tests and the final examination. No other calculator is allowed. It is available for purchase at the campus bookstore.

A final mark out of 100 will be calculated as follows:

  • Laboratories: 30%
  • Midterm Test (Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, 11 a.m. - 12:20 p.m.): 30%
  • Final Exam (2 hours; exact date, time and location to be announced): 40%

To be eligible to pass this course, a student must score at least 40% on the final examination. The final mark will be reported as a letter grade in accordance with the conversion table of the current undergraduate calendar.
