Cycling

In partnership with the Sustainability Office, we are pleased to offer a number of resources for cycling commuters on campus. These include open bike racks and  secure bike storage facilities.

 Secure Bike Storage Facility

The secure bike storage on the Waterloo campus is located on the south side of MacDonald House (beside lot 16) for up to 25 bikes. This is a gated facility allowing users entry using your One Card.

Access to the secure bike storage facilitiy is on a per-term basis (prices pro-rated as needed).

$20 per term

The secure bike storage on the Brantford campus is located in the Expositor Place parking garage. This is a gated facility allowing users to enter using their One Card.

Public Transit

Laurier’s Waterloo Campus is fortunate enough to be served by or located in proximity to a large number of transit systems, enabling easy travel to and from campus.

Grand River Transit (GRT)

All full-time students at Laurier’s Waterloo Campus may enjoy unlimited transit travel via the UPass program. Simply use your OneCard when boarding Grand River Transit buses, sit back and enjoy the ride. Whether you're living on or off campus, GRT serves the Waterloo, Kitchener, and Cambridge areas with routes that run frequently to all the places you want to go. 

GO Transit

GO Transit Student ID

Full-time Laurier students are eligible for GO Transit student fares. ID cards can be obtained online by visiting GO Transit’s Student ID page and submitting a Student ID Request.  This card allows for travel at a discounted rate for the period of full-time study and must be renewed each academic year.

GO Transit offers a bus routes from Laurier’s Waterloo Campus to Square One in Mississauga. GO Bus tickets, PRESTO cards and PRESTO loads may be purchased at the GO Transit ticket booth (Ticketing Vending Machine) located on University Ave. in front of Clara Conrad Residence.

GO Transit also offers bus and train service between downtown Kitchener and downtown Toronto.

GRT - ION Light Rail Transit

ION light rail travels between Conestoga Station in Waterloo and Fairway Station in Kitchener with a total of 19 stations along the route.

Greyhound Bus Lines

Greyhound Canada offers several trips a day to Toronto’s Union Station as well as service to Woodstock, London and Guelph. A discounted student rate is available to those who show the ticket agent their student card. Greyhound bus service may be accessed at the Kitchener Bus Terminal located on Charles St. Kitchener. On campus, tickets are available at International News in the Fred Nichols Campus Centre.

VIA Rail

VIA Rail operates out of the Kitchener Train Station located near the intersection of Weber Street and Victoria Street with service to destinations across Southwestern Ontario and more.

Brantford Transit

Brantford Transit runs bus service around Brantford.

Greyhound Bus Lines

Greyhound Canada offers services to Toronto and beyond. The Brantford bus depot is located at 64 Darling St. in downtown Brantford.

GO Transit

As of September 2016, GO Transit is planning to offer all-day bus service between downtown Brantford and McMaster University in Hamilton and the GO train station in Aldershot.

GO Transit Student ID

VIA Rail

VIA Rail offers train service to Toronto and beyond. The Brantford train station is located at 5 Wadsworth Street.
