Safety continues to be a major focus within Parking and Transportation Resources. Cameras have been installed in numerous locations around campus and are monitored by Laurier's Special Constable Service.
There are also emergency poles located in numerous parking lots and areas throughout campus. Pressing the emergency call button will connect you directly to Special Constable Service Dispatch.

Several campus safety enhancements can be accessed via the SAFEHawk app on your mobile device. A Special Constable Service Emergancy call button is visible on the SAFEHawk homescreen. Select the Waterloo campus to access additional campus safety support services and information that is available to you such as Foot Patrol(walk, virtual walk and friend walk), share your location and campus maps.
Foot Patrol
If you have any concerns about your safety at night, please contact Foot Patrol to arrange for a walk or virtual walk. Foot patrol services such as arranging for a walk, virtual walk and friend walk can be accessed via the SAFEHawk App
The office is located on the ground floor entrance of the Fred Nichols Campus Centre and can be reached at 519.886.3668 (FOOT).

Laurier's Special Constable Service is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all members of the university community and visitors to the Laurier campus, as well as safeguard the property of the university.

Vehicles driven or parked on any WLU owned or leased property is at owner's risk. The Univeristy, it's employees and agents, assume no responsibility for any losses, charges or costs nor accepts liability for any accidents, damages or loss incurred to a vehicle, the driver or occupants while on site.
As part of the on-going campus safety initiatives, Laurier's Special Constable Service is partnered with the Brantford Police Service Downtown BEAT Unit and has implemented a campus surveillance system.
