Sustainability at Laurier
- The Sustainable Hawk Fund allocates $30,000 each year to grow sustainable ideas on campus.
- Laurier has sold over 125 jars of honey harvested at its apiary on the Waterloo campus.
- There are a number of bike storage facilities located on Waterloo and Brantford campus.
- VRTUCAR and Enterprise eliminate the need for a car with their carshare services on campus and nearby.
- Each year, the Move Out Program collects about 4,500 lbs of clothing, textiles, e-waste and non-perishable food.
- In 2018, Laurier introduced its first pop-up Freestore to help students save money and the environment.
- Laurier has collected over 17,000 textbooks for reuse in partnership with Textbooks for Change.
