ASPIRE: Skills Training and Professionalization for Graduate Students

ASPIRE is a professional skills development training program for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows at Laurier with the aim of setting them on the path for post-degree success. Delivered by the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, working in conjunction with a range of university partners, the program provides a framework housing a range of training and development opportunities and resources.

The ASPIRE program is divided into five categories:

  • career development
  • communications
  • teaching and research
  • leadership
  • personal wellness

Students are encouraged to participate in offerings and to access available resources across all five categories.

Award-Winning Program

ASPIRE was winner of the 2014 CAGS/ETS Award for Excellence and Innovation in Enhancing the Graduate Student Experience.
