- Mobiliity or functional disabilities.
- Chronic illness.
- Learning, mental health, or attention disabilities.
- Multiple disabilities.
- Identify as being on the autism spectrum.
Our process for determining accommodation and support needs is generally the same for all students including undergraduate, graduate and professional students, and students studying on exchange. It includes:
- Reviewing your disability documentation.
- Meeting with you in confidence to learn how you experience your disability at school.
- Gathering information about your academic plan.
- Working with you to develop a plan best suited to your access needs.
We offer common accommodations like extra time for exams or note taking support as well as unique, customized accommodations all designed to meet your individualized access needs.
Accommodations at university remove barriers so you can equitably access the learning environment. They do not guarantee success but once access barriers are removed, many students can be successful.
Some Things to Note

- We review disability documentation, meet with you, and approve your individualized accommodation plan only after you accept an offer of admission to Laurier.
