Registration Dates

Incoming First-year Students

If you are an incoming first-year student, registration opens for you on June 15 at 3 p.m. For the best course selection, you should register by June 19 as that is when registration opens for returning students.

2020 Fall Registration Start Times

  • May 15, 10 a.m.: Registration opens for graduate students.
  • June 1 at 10 a.m.: Registration opens for Faculty of Education students.
  • June 22 to June 26: Registration opens for returning students

Returning students are assigned a time ticket when they may begin registration on a particular day and time to maximize the chance that you will get the courses you need to complete your degree. Course registration dates and times are based on the number of credits you have completed and are in progress of completing up to August of this year, rather than by your year of study (first year, second year, etc.). Transfer credits are also factored into the total credit count.

You may register any time between your registration open date and the last day to add courses in the applicable term.

If a hold is placed on your account, you will not be able to register in courses, or make changes to your registration through LORIS until the hold is cleared. Financial holds are cleared when the account balance is paid in full by debit, or electronic banking. For full information on payment deadlines and methods see Paying Your Tuition.
