Course Registration Guide

Course registration doesn't just start on the day you register. It's all about the preparation.

The course registration guide walks you through things to consider before course registration opens so that the process of actually registering goes as smooth as possible. 

Prepare for Course Registration

Check Your Program Requirements. Make a list of courses you need to take.

Explore Electives. Select courses that interest you.

3.

Build Your Timetable. Plan a schedule for your courses.

4.

Register for Your Courses. Now that you've prepared, use LORIS to register.

Determine Your Registration Date

Below is a snapshot of when course registration begins. Your course registration date is determined based on the number of credits you have completed (including transfer credits and any courses in progress during the current term).

Incoming First-Year Students

Registration opens June 26, 2024 at 3 p.m. 

Make sure you review your first-year program requirements before registration opens.

Returning and Transfer Students

  • May 15, 2024 at 10 a.m. for graduate students.
  • June 17, 2024 at 10 a.m. for Faculty of Education year two students.
  • June 24, 2024 at 10 a.m. for Faculty of Education year one students.
  • July 2 to July 5, 2024 all returning students and incoming transfer students.

LORIS

LORIS (Laurier Online Registration and Information System) is Laurier's administration tool, which you'll use during the course registration process. 

LORIS is also used to update your personal information, view student accounts and funding opportunities, check your grades, get safety notifications and much more.
