    Showcase your research at this year’s Three Minute Thesis Competition

    Have you been working on some amazing research? Are you looking to promote your research and build essential skills that are highly valued by others?

    The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition is your opportunity to share your incredible research with the Laurier community and beyond!

    The 3MT® competition challenges research-based master’s and PhD students to present their research to a layperson audience in three minutes or less. Students are allowed the use of just one powerpoint slide, and additional no props.

    Why Participate In 3MT®?

    Along with opportunity to present your research and its impacts, the benefits of participating in the 3MT® can include, but is not limited to:

    • Publicizing your research and yourself
    • Improving presentation and communication skills
    • Learning how to consolidate ideas
    • Recognition and up to $1,000 in prize money
    • Networking opportunities

    Participants will be competing on Friday, March 24 in the Senate and Board Chambers. The winner of the graduate student competition will go on to compete at the provincial competition at Queens University.

    Registration is open until Sunday February 5, 2023 at midnight. All master’s and PhD students are welcome to join the competition to explain your research in three minutes or less!
