Global Engagement and Exchanges

The Global Engagement team will be hosting virtual programming and events throughout the fall and winter semesters. Even though student mobility has been impacted by travel restrictions, there are still opportunities to expand your intercultural learning through our International at Home programming.

We also encourage you to meet virtually with a Global Engagement Student Ambassador (GESA) to discuss more ways you can be globally engaged.

Winter 2021 Student Exchange Program Update

In light of Laurier’s announcement to continue remotely for winter 2021, we will now only accept inbound exchange students in a remote context. Outbound exchange students for winter 2021 will receive updates on exchange program status no later than October 1, 2020. Information for both outbound exchange students and inbound exchange students is available on our FAQ page.

We are also still accepting nominations for remote study for incoming exchange students for the winter 2021 term.

Fall 2020 Student Exchange Program Update

We have made the decision to cancel outbound and inbound student exchange for the fall 2020 term. This was a difficult decision to make and we understand that many students will be disappointed.

If you have been accepted into the student exchange program for the fall 2020 term, review our list of frequently asked questions to find out how this decision impacts you and what options you have for future exchange opportunities.

If you were nominated to come to Laurier on exchange for the fall 2020 term, review our frequently asked questions for inbound exchange students to see how this decision will impact you.
