Service Update

The Library is adjusting our building hours on Waterloo and Kitchener Campus Libraries to better serve our students as part of the University’s return to in-person instruction.

The Library will be implementing new building hours and service changes as follows.

Highlights

Starting February 1:

  • Waterloo Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday
  • All floors of the Waterloo Library are open at a limited capacity with 2 meters/6 feet distancing required, except the 3rd floor (which is staff access only at this time)
  • All open study spaces (carrels, tables, computer seats) are available on a first-come, first served basis
  • Individual, enclosed study rooms are available by booking during open hours – see Study areas page for details
  • All seating (including open study spaces and enclosed study rooms) continues to be single seating only

Starting the week of February 7:

  • Waterloo Library hours will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday with Sunday open hours 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting February 13
  • Kitchener FSW Library will re-open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting February 10
  • Access to Library Waterloo and Kitchener bookstacks re-opens

Starting the week of February 28:

  • Waterloo Library will be open from 8:30am to 8pm daily, Monday to Friday and weekends Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
