Winter
For students working towards applying to a professional program (e.g., medicine, dental school, pharmacy, nursing etc.), PS101 and PS102 are recommended electives.
Consider taking HS103 as it can be used toward an optional Applied Health Sciences requirement.
If you would like to complete a minor in Mental Health and Well-Being, take PS101 and PS102, and one of SK121 or UU100 as electives this year.
BI110, BI111, CH110, and CH111 require a lab. Remember to add the lecture and lab to properly register.

You must register in the on-campus (BR) sections of CC courses. The online (VA) sections are restricted to online majors and open to Brantford students on July 14. CC203 (VA) and CC205 (VA) will be open right away since they are not offered on-campus.
At the end of your first year, you can declare a specialization in any of the following: Cybercrime, Media and Crime, Power, Identity and Justice, Crime and Justice Policy, Human Trafficking and Migration studies, Advanced Criminological Research. In your first-year, you could consider taking the following courses toward some of the specializations:
You can choose to take CC233, CC290 (winter) and/or LY205 (VA). You could also take CC309 in the fall term if you have interest in this course (it can be used toward optional requirements).

Students must complete all required Year 1 courses to progress to Year 2 with a minimum overall GPA of 8.0 (B) and a CC GPA of 7.0 (B-).

The BA Multidisciplinary Studies is an Honours program which requires the completion of at least one minor/option (and a maximum of two). Students in first year of the program are encouraged to choose courses in a broad range of disciplines in the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences to explore their interests.

This program requires the completion of a minor or option. Review the available Options and Minors at the Brantford Campus to select courses to work toward a minor or option of interest.
Focus on choosing senior credits (courses at the 200-level or higher) offered by the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences.

If you're interested in the biologically-oriented aspects of forensics (e.g. DNA analysis, toxicology, etc.), consider taking HS103 as your elective, as it can be used toward a Physical Forensics minor.

To earn an Honours Degree, you will need to complete 20.0 credits:
If you are studying part-time, you can take up to 1.5 credits per term. Full-time status is given to students who take 2.0 or 2.5 credits per term.
If you select 2.5 credits in the fall term and 2.5 credits in the winter term, you can complete an Honours Degree in four years.
