Learning Strategies

We provide group workshops and individualized sessions focused on learning strategies and study skills development for all students registered with Accessible Learning. We offer sessions in a variety of topics, such as:

  • Time management/self-management
  • Exam writing strategies
  • Note-taking and reading strategies
  • Study skills
  • Writing support

Don't wait until exam time to access support. Learn more about workshop offerings by watching for updates on the website or from your Consultant or Learning Strategist.

ALC students are encouraged to connect with their Learning Strategist for assistance. As campus access and status allow, appointments will be offered in-person and remotely.

Learning Strategies for Remote Learning

Accessible Learning and Laurier want you to feel confident in your remote and online courses. Getting Prepared for remote learning is a great place to ensure you have your technology set up for remote learning!

The Centre for Student Success has created a Remote Learning: Student Support Hub to guide students with the completion of assignments, readings, and course-related tasks. The “Golden Guide to Success in Online and Remote Learning” will also help build planning and organization skills.
