iClicker

Your instructor may use the iClicker Cloud software to run Polling, Quizzing, Attendance, and Assignments for class.

Below is a checklist for students designed to help you go from setting up your iClicker student app account to using it in class. Please follow the steps below in order.

Step 1: Get the correct information from your instructor

Your instructor has set up your iClicker course in a specific way, so follow any steps your instructor has given you regarding iClicker. Many instructors add important information about iClicker to the syllabus.

Step 2: Create an iClicker student account

You can create an account by downloading the iClicker student mobile app via the App Store or Google Play or by visiting the iClicker student web app. Do not create a duplicate account if you already have an iClicker account. Just use the account you already have and proceed with the following steps.

Step 3: Enroll in your instructor's course through the iClicker student app

• Go to join.iclicker.com to enter your join code, or navigate to your join link. Your instructor may provide a QR code to scan as a shortcut to the join code link. Use your phone's camera to scan the QR code and access the course's join link.

• Use the + icon to search for and add the course in the mobile or web app. Note: Some instructors make their courses private so they won't appear in search results. If you need help finding your course, check your instructor's instructions for a course join code or link.

Step 4: Understand your options for accessing the iClicker student app

Are you using the iClicker student app to participate in class Polling, Quizzing, Attendance, and Assignment activities?

• Upon creating an iClicker student account, you will have a two-week free trial period for using the app for class Polling, Quizzing, Attendance, and Assignments. Before the free trial ends, you must purchase an iClicker student app subscription or obtain an access code to continue accessing the iClicker student app on your mobile device, tablet, or laptop during Polling sessions. The iClicker student app will give you a countdown reminder to tell you when your free trial expires.

1. You can create your account by either downloading the mobile app from the App Store or Google Play, or by visiting the iClicker student web app and selecting Sign Up!
2. In the Find Your Institution textbox, find and select Wilfrid Laurier University
3. Enter your information (use your @mylaurier.ca email address) and select "Create Account"

You can download the iClicker student app onto your mobile device or check in using a web browser.

1. Create an account by either downloading the mobile app from the App Store or Google Play, or by visiting the iClicker student web app and selecting Sign Up!
2. In the Find Your Institution textbox, find and select Wilfrid Laurier University
3. Enter your information and select "Create Account"
4. Remotes cannot be used to check in for Attendance Only courses, so you can Skip This Step
5. Add your instructor's course to your Courses list in the iClicker student app

iClicker access codes can be purchased from the Laurier Bookstore.
