Online Orientation

Online Orientation

Whether you are new to Laurier or new to Canada, the goal of the online summer orientation program is to provide you with additional information to help you prepare for Laurier, connect you with current students and staff throughout the summer and make sure you feel comfortable when you arrive on campus.

Online Orientation is designed to give you insights into what you can expect from your first year at Laurier. The program uses MyLearningSpace, Laurier’s online course management system. The orientation includes faculty testimonials, how-to videos, downloadable resources, and tips from senior students, all designed to help you get ready for your university experience. Online Orientation will be available to you throughout your entire first year, so you can always go back and review information if you need any reminders.

Online orientation modules include:

  • Paying for school and using your OneCard on campus.
  • An overview of student life, including best places to eat on and off campus.
  • Strategies to help you prepare for a university-level learning.
  • Many more topics, such as residence life, orientation week, and getting involved on campus.
