High School Credits

Need a prerequisite to take a particular course? Are you looking to either upgrade or obtain a high school math credit?

You may want to contact your local Board of Education (Ontario listing) to see what's available in your area.

An additional option would be to complete the high school course online. See the Ministry of Education's Independent Learning Centre for further information.

If you are looking for a review of the Ontario Grade 12 Advanced Functions course, then you may want to consider taking the non-credit course, TriAGe: Preparation for University Calculus, offered by Mathematics and Statistics Learning Support. Laurier's Department of Mathematics will accept successful completion of the TriAGe course as an equivalency for the Grade 12 Advanced Functions prerequisite needed to enrol in their first year calculus courses.

The Waterloo Region District School Board has a few available options for obtaining high school credit:

The Waterloo Catholic District School Board offers similar programs through its St. Louis Adult Learning Centres.

The Grand Erie District School Board has available options for obtaining high school credits through e-learning and night classes.

The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board offers similar programs through its St. Mary Catholic Learning Centre (day classes, night classes, or by correspondence.)
