Laurier's hours of operation during December exam season

Wilfrid Laurier University’s December examination period will run Dec. 7 to Dec. 22. The university will remain closed from Dec. 23 to Jan. 2.

The university will be open throughout this examination period; however, some food outlets and other services will be operating on adjusted schedules.

Below is a guide to what’s open and when for our Waterloo campus and Brantford campus during exam season.

Holiday Season Campus Closure

Laurier will close for the holiday season at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 and reopen on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018. During this period, all university buildings will be locked to maintain security. If you require access to your office during this time and are unable to gain entry to the building or for building related emergencies, please contact Special Constable Service (SCS):

Events

If you have an event scheduled over the closure period, please contact the appropriate person(s) below by Wednesday, Dec. 13 to make arrangements for recycling/waste collection and custodial services.

Temperature Adjustments

In order to conserve energy during the closure, the temperature in all buildings will be lowered to approximately 15°C. Some functions may require a more moderate environment. If this is the case in your area or if you are holding an event over the closure period, please contact Dan Graham, manager, Facilities Operations at 519.884.0710 x6283 or dgraham@wlu.ca by Friday, Dec. 15 to request an upward adjustment in temperature.
