The start of a new term on Laurier’s Brantford campus will bring with it office and student services location changes due to the renovation of One Market.
Some services have already moved into One Market, formerly known as Market Square, located at 1 Market St.
Laurier International has moved from its space in Dalhousie Centre to the upper level of One Market. The Laurier International team is ready to welcome a new cohort of students to the space, which includes a student lounge, an open work area, two meeting rooms, staff offices and a kitchen.
Ben Yang, director of global engagement with Laurier International, says the new space is a “global hub” for students.
“We want to make it a happening place culturally and socially, not just for international students but for all interested in global engagement and connecting with others,” says Yang.
One Market is also home to three new classrooms and one seminar room, all located on the main level, that will be open and ready for use on Sept. 4. The room numbers are OM207-1, OM207-2, OM207-3 and OM209.
Other recent Brantford campus moves include the Faculty of Social Work administrative and faculty offices relocating to the second floor of 97 Dalhousie.
Administrative offices and additional student services will continue moving into the main level of One Market as the fall term progresses. Offices and services moving include:
Please be aware that construction is still progressing in portions of One Market. Do not enter construction zones and respect all signage and barriers to ensure your safety.
Stay tuned during the fall term for updated moving dates.
