Partial refund to U-Pass Transit Fee issued to full-time students at Laurier’s Waterloo campus and Kitchener location

As a result of the interruption to bus service in Waterloo Region during January, Wilfrid Laurier University, the Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union and Laurier’s Graduate Students’ Association have worked with Grand River Transit to arrange a partial refund to the U-Pass: Waterloo Transit Fee for the winter term. The U-Pass transit fee is paid by all full-time undergraduate and graduate students at Laurier’s Waterloo campus and Kitchener location.

The original fee of $99.10 has been lowered to $90.14. On Feb. 13, a credit of $8.96 will be applied to the accounts of full-time students at Laurier’s Waterloo campus and Kitchener location. The refund amount is based on the service interruption provision in the U-Pass agreement with Grand River Transit.
