Help save a life: give blood during February clinics
If helping others is on your list of things to do in 2020, consider donating blood.
On Feb. 6, Canadian Blood Services and Wilfrid Laurier University’s student Stem Cell Club will hold a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Senate and Board Chamber at Laurier’s Waterloo campus. You can book an appointment online or call 1.888.2DONATE. One blood donation can save up to three lives.
Laurier is a Canadian Blood Services' (CBS) Partner for Life. As a Laurier student, your donation can count toward Laurier’s pledge of 350 blood donations in 2020. Your family and friends can also donate on behalf of Laurier, as can staff and alumni.
To have your donation included in Laurier’s pledge:
- Complete the Partners for Life Member Registration Form prior to donating using Laurier’s partner ID (WILF001529).
- Tell clinic staff upon arrival that you would like your donation to count toward Laurier’s pledge.
Other Ways to Donate
Can’t make it to the blood drive on Feb. 6? You can donate at Canadian Blood Services’ Waterloo clinic, located at 94 Bridgeport Rd. E., during clinic hours. Take your friends and give blood together (there are free snacks when your appointment is done!).
Waterloo clinic operating hours:
- Mondays and Thursdays: 3 to 7 p.m.
- Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Fridays and Saturdays: 8 a.m. to noon
