To better serve the evolving needs of Laurier Brantford students and faculty, the Laurier Library is redeveloping the Digital Library and Learning Commons (DLLC) on Floor 1 of Grand River Hall to become Laurier Library Brantford — a purposefully designed space offering enhanced services and resources.
This new space marks a strategic shift in how Laurier delivers library services. With easier access to digital resources through Omni, added self-serve technology and in-person support, Laurier Library Brantford is designed to be a vibrant, student-focused environment that supports learning, research and teaching.
Key changes include:
- New furniture, group study rooms, equipment and technology
- On-site staff for personalized support
- A curated collection of books and games
- Books requested through Omni available through new Hawk Locker
This refreshed library space reflects Laurier’s commitment to academic excellence and a welcoming, flexible learning environment.
The Library will be reaching out to students for additional input to help shape the vision for this exciting project. More details on the transition from Brantford Public Library services will be shared soon.
