Religious Accommodation Deadlines and Resources
Laurier is committed to respecting the religious beliefs and practices of all members of the university community. As such, the deadline to submit a request for religious accommodation during a final exam has been revised.
Requests for religious accommodations during final exams can be submitted up to seven days before the final day of classes for undergraduate students and 14 days before the last day of classes for graduate students.
The last day of classes for the fall 2024 term is Dec. 4, therefore the deadline to submit your request is:
- Nov. 27 for undergraduate students. Requests are submitted through the Student Request for Accommodation for Religious Observances form.
- Nov. 20 for graduate students. Requests are submitted through the Request for Religious Accommodation or Extension to Complete Coursework form.
Submitting your request before the deadline ensures that your accommodation will be considered and, if granted, you will not be charged a deferred exam fee. Your deferred exam will be written on a slip day at the end of the final exam period. This information will be communicated to you by the faculty petitions committee.
