Now in its 10th year, SP288 takes 160th student abroad
In 2017, SP288: Study Abroad is turning 10. Over the last decade, 160 students have participated in this faculty-led, intensive Spanish language and culture experience.
In this exciting 1.0-credit experience, students spend nearly a month in Spain where they are placed in their appropriate level of Spanish and receive intensive instruction emphasizing key areas of language learning such as speaking, listening, and grammar. Students also have the opportunity to develop Spanish language skills through constant interaction with host families, community members, and other international students.
On the weekends, the SP288 group travels to over a dozen UNESCO World Heritage Sites across Spain on guided tours in Spanish which offer an understanding of various cultures and contextualize language, art, and history.
