Hello Laurier community! The Laurier Economics Department has launched its 8th annual fund drive for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. To promote the drive, we are offering an informal “Ask An Economist” event! Over the next few weeks. Economics faculty will be on hand in the Lazaridis Hall Atrium to promote our Fund Drive. Feel free to drop by and see how economists might answer questions that people ask every day – perhaps you are trying to decide what to buy your niece for Christmas, or whether to take that Spanish class you were thinking about. (We warn you, however, the answer to your question will likely be ‘it depends.’). Economists will be on hand throughout the day on the following days: November 19, 21, 24 and December 1 and 5.
Please support the Fund Drive by donating here: https://foodbank.donorsupport.co/-/NELFLDQK?member=SGBWQCTA
All donations made by December 31 will be matched, doubling your impact!
Thank you for supporting our Fund Drive for the Food Bank. If you’d like to have a conversation about why we collect funds rather than food, please drop by the Atrium to ask an economist! We love to talk about allocating our resources efficiently!
