Department of Indigenous Studies, Law and Social Justice

Indigenous Studies, Law and Society and Social and Environmental Justice have come together as the Department of Indigenous Studies, Law and Society and Social Justice.

Indigenous Studies (ID) engages students with Indigenous worlds, providing an understanding of contemporary issues as they relate to Indigenous peoples. Employing a holistic approach, this program fosters a greater understanding of Indigenous peoples, their history and their place in the world

In Law and Society, you will learn the differences between what the law says and the what the law does, including the diversity of ways that individuals and communities both experience and respond to law and regulation in society.

Through Social Justice, we provide you with the knowledge, inspiration and career skills to directly contribute to the world we live in both locally and globally.
