Our Social and Environmental Justice program is unique in Canada – we provide you with the knowledge, inspiration and career skills to directly contribute to the world we live in both locally and globally. Our curriculum examines topics such as poverty and policies to reduce income inequality, climate change and sustainable communities, and citizens' roles in a democratic society. Our graduates are socially aware citizens and inspirational leaders in their communities who contribute to a more positive collective future for all.
Embracing Laurier's designation as a Changemaker Campus, the program prepares you for a career in the field of social and environmental justice through targeted courses such as Social and Environmental Justice in Practice and the Community Internship.
The broad-based education provided by our Social and Environmental Justice program will suit a wide range of interests and career goals, including those interested in education, law, social services, business and more. Our graduates are socially aware citizens and inspirational leaders in their communities who contribute to a more positive collective future for all.
Community Service-Learning
Community Service-Learning (CSL) offers you the opportunity to integrate service in the community with academic content. Through service-learning placements or projects at local organizations, you will fuse classroom learning with hands-on experience. You can do CSL through CT403, as well as through electives.Contact Us:
