Is Canada Day Getting Warmer?

An exploration of average temperatures on Canada Day since the 1950s

In this project, we examine historical temperature records for July 1st for Ottawa and for all 13 provincial/territorial capital cities. Our findings show that average daily temperatures on Canada day have risen over the past 75 years in all 14 cities, with the greatest increases (>3^oC) occurring in the Prairie provinces.
