MA201A: Multivariable Calculus (Spring 2018)

Calendar Description

Vector functions; differential and integral calculus of functions of several variables, including vector fields; line and surface integrals including Green's Theorem, Stokes' Theorem and the Divergence Theorem.

Prerequisites

MA122, and one of MA101, MA102, MA103 (or MA110*) or MA105 (MA104 is recommended).

Calculators

Students may only use the approved scientific calculator, Casio FX-300MS plus, on course tests and the final examination. No other calculator is allowed. It is available for purchase at the campus bookstore.

Evaluation

A final mark out of 100 will be calculated as follows:

  • Clicker Questions: 5%
  • WeBWorK Assignments: 10%
  • Lab Assignments: 15%
  • Midterm Exam (Thursday, June 14, 2018, in class): 30%
  • Final Examination (2.5 hours, exact date and time to be announced): 40%

The final mark will be reported as a letter grade in accordance with the conversion table of the current undergraduate calendar.
