Academic programs eligible for government student financial aid
To be eligible for government student financial aid programs, you must be registered in an OSAP-approved degree program.
All new programs are reviewed for eligibility and approval through the Ministry of Colleges and Universities. Only Laurier programs receiving government grants are eligible for student financial aid funding.

Part-Time Programs
Part-time programs with no full-time equivalent program are deemed non-eligible.
List of Ineligible Programs
The following programs are ineligible to receive financial aid funding (including OSAP, OSAP interest-free status, provincial and territorial funding, or U.S. student funding). The list of programs is subject to change.
- BA Policing (part-time professional program, not in combination with second major)
- BA Public Safety (ineligible prior to 2024-25 academic year)
- Diploma in Business Administration (part-time program)
- Graduate Diploma in Accounting
- Graduate Diploma in National Security
- Graduate Diploma in Border Strategies
- Graduate Diploma in Countering Crime
- Graduate Diploma in Emergency Management
- Graduate Diploma in GIS and Data Analytics
- Laurier English and Academic Foundation (LEAF) program
- Laurier International College
- Master of Computer Science (online only professional program)
- Master of Finance
- Master of Finance (MFin) and MSc in Management in Analytics (MMA) double degree
- Master of Public Safety
- MSc in Management in Technology: Executive
- MSc in User Experience Design
- Toronto MBA programs (Toronto campus)

U.S. student financial aid programs may have additional ineligible programs not listed.
Micro-Credential Programs
OSAP funding for micro-credential programs that are not quality-assured and ministry approved are ineligible.
A list of OSAP-approved microcredential programs is available online.
All other micro-credential programs not listed on the OSAP website are ineligible.
