This temporary designation allows you to explore disciplines in the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Human and Social Sciences before declaring a major at the end of your first year:
Email Brantford Campus Academic Advising to review your course selection and pathway to your preferred major.
You can complete an undergraduate certificate in Non-Profit Career Foundations as part of your program. If interested, take OL140 as an elective this year.
If you are interested in the Politics and Public Policy Option, take PO101 as an elective this year.
Recommended Electives: CC100, EN241, ID120, LY100, OL140, PO101, PP110, SOJE100, YC100.
Take HR232, HR261, OL233, PO263, and other 200 or 300 level HR courses of your choice.
You will be pre-registered in PO263 in the fall term.

Winter
All UX courses must be taken in the Brantford Campus sections (BR). You cannot take the virtual (VS) sections of these courses.
If you are interested in declaring a minor in Critical Game Studies, take DD101 as an elective. You can also use DD102 toward the minor if you have interest in this course.

Consider CC200, EN201 or EN286 as electives. They can be used toward optional program requirements.
If you would like to complete a minor in Mental Health and Well-Being, take SK121 or UU100 as an elective this year.
Thinking about becoming a teacher? Keep your options open by completing a teachable in English, History, Geography (online) or Science (BI or CH). Take 1.0 credit from the course offerings in your teachable area in place of electives.

To earn an Honours Degree, you will need to complete 20.0 credits:
If you are studying part-time, you can take up to 1.5 credits per term. Full-time status is given to students who take 2.0 or 2.5 credits per term.
If you select 2.5 credits in the fall term and 2.5 credits in the winter term, you can complete an Honours Degree in four years.
