Your Commute Counts: Fill out the 2025 Sustainable Transportation Survey

    Oct. 27, 2025
    Print | PDF

The Sustainability Office is inviting the campus community to take part in the 2025 Sustainable Transportation Survey – an initiative designed to better understand how students, staff, and faculty commute to campus. Whether you walk, bike, drive, or take transit, your input will help shape the future of transportation at Laurier.

    Why does this survey matter?

This university-wide survey is more than just a data collection effort – it’s a strategic tool that will:

    • Assess Campus-wide Modal Splits
      • To establish a clear picture of how everyone travels to and from campus, whether it is a sustainable commuting mode or not
    • Support Scope 3 Emissions Tracking
      • Survey data will help us understand the emissions footprint from commuting
    • Identify Barriers to Sustainable Transportation
      • The survey will uncover the demographic, infrastructure, and geographic challenges to taking sustainable transportation modes
    • Inform Future Strategies for Modal Shift
      • Insights gathered will inform transportation infrastructure and reaffirm Laurier’s commitment to allow-carbon future
