Healing in Solidarity is a survivor-to-survivor peer support group hosted by the Gendered and Sexual Violence Prevention and Support team.
We know that many survivors feel alone. It can be hard if we feel our friends, partners and families don't quite get it, and sometimes it can be hard to connect with others, in general. We hope this group will be a space to connect, relax and co-exist in solidarity.
Join us Wednesday afternoons from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the Waterloo campus for snacks, crafts and solidarity with other survivors in your campus community. Bring your own craft or art supplies or use ours. Brantford peer support group to come soon!
Register to attend the peer support group.
Absolutely not. There is no pressure to share anything about your experience with gender-based or sexual violence within the group.
That's okay. When you attend, you can choose to chat, sit quietly, do a craft or make some art or whatever feels right in that moment. There are no expectations around participation and we hope you come as you are.
All Laurier students who are survivors of gender-based violence and/or sexual violence are most welcome.
