Appointment reminders are emailed to your MyLaurier email the day before your appointment as a courtesy.
Mental health services in the SWC include consultations with the mental health nurse; medical appointments with doctors for diagnosis, treatment, or referral; crisis intervention and crisis management; and short-term, goal-directed therapy with counsellor/psychotherapists.
We do not offer online booking for counselling or other mental health-related appointments. Call us or drop by to schedule an appointment.
We offer short-term, goal-directed counselling. Common concerns addressed in short-term therapy include anxiety and depression; homesickness; stress management; roommate tensions; parental and family conflict; surviving a break-up; grief; and confidence and self-esteem.
Counselling appointments are held in the Student Wellness Centre by phone or video, and in other locations on campus. Read more about counselling supports around campus.

Our counselling team includes registered social workers and psychotherapists who use a short-term, goal-directed model of care serving all registered Laurier students.

When off-campus therapy is recommended or preferred by a student, a counsellor will support the student through the process of getting connected.
We will help to identify several referral options selected specifically for the student’s personal situation.
Local counselling options include providers within walking distance to campus and some that provide low or sliding scale fee services.
We offer online booking for chiropractic, physio, and massage appointments and for specific types of medical appointments on the Waterloo campus only. Online booking for Brantford is coming soon!
Here are some guidelines on when to use the online booking tool to schedule an appointment in the SWC. Don't forget that if you miss your appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours notices, you will be charged a no-show fee.
Sexual health is an important part of your health and wellbeing.
Online appointments can be booked for routine STI testing on the Waterloo campus only. If you are having symptoms of an STI, of if you need Plan B, a pregnancy test, or have questions for the nurse, please call us or drop by.

The registered dietitian addresses a variety of issues, including:
Appointments with a registered dietitian are available on the Brantford and Waterloo campus. Call the Student Wellness Centre to make an appointment.
Appointments are 45-50 minutes long, during which you will be given practical information, including shopping lists, meal plans, and quick, easy recipes.
On the Brantford campus, you can see the dietitian by self-referral or with a referral from your doctor. The cost of service is covered by your extended health and dental plan.
On the Waterloo campus, you must first meet with a doctor, nurse, or counsellor in the SWC for a referral. The cost of appointments is included in your student services fees.
