Faculty Making a Difference
- Melody Morton Ninomiya whose research focuses on Indigenous health and wellness, community and culturally-defined indicators of wellness, knowledge mobilization principles, mental health and addiction, critical public health, and decolonizing research methodologies.
- Stephanie DeWitte-Orr whose research focuses on the innate antiviral immune response of animals.
- Robert McLeman whose research focuses on the human dimensions of environmental change, with particular attention to the relationship between environment and human migration; community adaptation to climatic variability and change; and, fostering citizen participation in environmental science.
- Sandra Danilovic whose research focuses on storytelling through digital game design. She organizes game jams (creative workshops) to study game design practices rooted in lived experiences with mental health, addiction, and disability.
- Marcia Oliver whose research focuses on the intersection of global governance, sexuality and gender, and inequality and justice, including moral conservatism and neoliberalism in HIV/AIDS development practices; new governance regimes and civil society.
- Vanessa Oliver whose research focuses on young people and anti-racism, sexual health education and the social determinants of health.
