At Laurier, we know your student experience goes far beyond our lecture halls. It’s about discovering who you are, making connections with fellow students, and building your sense of community – no matter where you are on your Laurier journey.
Laurier students love being involved to make the Laurier community stronger.
The Experience and Career Guides are created specifically for your program to help you take advantage of all that Laurier has to offer and learn about the many ways you can extend your classroom experience into the real world.
You can explore the guide to find out more about your program’s year-to-year academic experiences and learn about co-curricular opportunities such as volunteering, jobs, student clubs, workshops, programming and events.
Are you looking to get involved and don’t know where to start? The Co-curricular Experience Catalogue includes the co-curricular experiences that are currently offered at Laurier. These include experiences such as volunteering with your faculty/department, Residence, clubs, athletics, Students' Union, etc. View the description and contact information for each activity to help you find the perfect outlet for your passions or support your future career path.
There are many opportunities to volunteer at Laurier. Many of these opportunities are listed in the Co-curricular Experience Catalogue or you can contact a department of interest to learn more. Specific volunteer postings are available in Navigator. The Students’ Union, Graduate Students’ Association and Student Publications also recruit volunteers each year.

Whether you commute from out of town, live with family, or moved to off-campus student housing, the Laurier Off-Campus University Students (LOCUS) program is here to connect you to the campus community.
The LOCUS program at our Brantford, Milton and Waterloo campuses work specifically to support our first-year off-campus students (including mature and transfer students) with events, upper-year student mentors and provide opportunities to get involved.
Athletics and Recreation offers lots of opportunities for you to be involved including intramurals and sport clubs. Whether you are competitively or recreationally inclined, connect with Athletics and Recreation to find an opportunity for you.
All Laurier students have a Laurier Experience Record which tracks your involvement in curricular and co-curricular experiential learning at Laurier.
