Certificates and Workshop Series
Many Laurier departments offer non-credit certificates or workshop series on a variety of topics which we have categorized into 5 themes:
- Academic Development
- Career Development
- Professional Development
- Student Life
- Wellness and Recreation
These certificates are included as part of your Laurier Experience Record (LER). Many of the certificates can be completed at any time during your academic career at Laurier.
Add or Track Your Certificate/Workshop Series
Log in to Navigator and select the Certificate icon or the Program Participation tab.
You can track your certificate/workshop series in two ways:
- Open Enrolment in Navigator
- Find your certificate under the "Programs Available for Enrolment" list.
- Click the title of the certificate/workshop to review the requirements and click enroll.
- Closed Enrolment (not visible)
- Most certificate/workshop series have closed enrollment, meaning that you will need to register directly with the department facilitating the workshop.
- Find the list of all certificates by viewing the certificate themes and register for the ones that interest you.
- You do not need to take any action to have these certificates/workshop series added to your record because they are added automatically to your record once you complete the program. The host department provides a list of students who completed the certificate to the LER administrator by the end of each year, and the certificate is then added to your LER.
Some certificates will appear within a few days or weeks after you complete the program. Other departments will wait until the end of April after all the sessions are finalized to submit a list of completed students.
