    Wi-Fi set-up update: Additional steps required

    Following our previous email communications about campus Wi-Fi, we have an important update based on feedback regarding Wi-Fi connectivity.

    All devices must forget the eduroam network and reconnect using new configuration details due to a security certificate provider change.

    Forget Wireless Network

    To forget a wireless network, follow the instructions below:

    To forget a wireless network (Windows 11):

    1. Select the Start menu in the taskbar.
    2. Open Settings and select the Network & Internet tab on the left.
    3. Select Wi-Fi, then select known networks.
    4. Click Forget next to the Wi-Fi network you want to remove.

    To forget a wireless network (Macbook):

    1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings.
    2. Click Wi-Fi in the sidebar.
    3. Scroll down on the right and click Advanced to see the networks known to your Mac.
    4. Click the menu button. next to the network, choose Remove From List, then click Forget to confirm.

    To forget the network that you're currently using on mobile devices:

    1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
    2. Tap the More Info button. next to the network you're using.
    3. Tap Forget This Network, then tap Forget to confirm.

    Reconnect

    Once you have forgotten the eduroam network, follow the steps on the Wi-Fi page to reconnect to Wi-Fi.

    Ensure you select Eduroam on both Apple and Windows devices and enter your credentials using your Laurier Network Username (not including @wlu.ca or @mylaurier.ca) and your associated password to connect to eduroam.

    If you are unable to connect to eduroam, please contact the ICT Service Desk.
