Faculty and Staff

The department chair is the principal administrative officer of the department. They are responsible for carrying out the department’s decisions (including academic policies). The chair represents the department and is the liaison to the Faculty of Arts. Academic issues can be referred to the chair who will help resolve the matter or offer advice on how to proceed. Global Studies’ current chair is Dr. Timothy Donais (DAWB 5-120A; tdonais@wlu.ca).

The undergraduate academic advisor assists students with course selection, program requirements, and academic advice. The current GS academic advisor is Dr. Ehaab Abdou (gsadvisor@wlu.ca).

Please use your Laurier email account and include your student number whenever emailing university faculty and staff. It is your responsibility to check this email account while attending Laurier.

And of course, please drop by our office!! We are on the 5th floor of the Dr. Alvin Woods Building. TBD, our Administrative person, would be happy to assist!
