    Dr. Nathan Vo, Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Studies, was recently awarded the 2026 Young Investigator Award at the North American Comparative Immunology Workshop (NAICW) that was held May 31 - June 3, 2026 at the University of Fraser Valley in British Columbia. Dr. Vo was presented the award by Dr. Brian Dixon (founder of NACIW) after presenting his research "Toward Understanding of Ectopic Hematopoiesis in Teleost Fishes".
