Registration is required for Get Connected Week events. You can register for each event by clicking on the Zoom link in the schedule below! Remember to Activate your MyLaurier student email and check it regularly to stay informed.
Get Connected Week events will be hosted through Zoom. Before you register and attend the events, make sure to set up and configure your Zoom account.

What does your Students' Union offer? Join Your Students' Union to learn about all the ways you can get engaged and involved this year and beyond. Whether it is through joining a club, association or committee or by participating in the wide variety of events and programs offered. We are confident that the Students' Union has something for you! Come learn about how to get connected and involved to meet new people, build your community and better your student experience!

Attention all Mature and Transfer students! Come out to our first MTS social of the year! Meet fellow Mature and Transfer students from across all campuses and help us shape the programming YOU want to see! We understand that being a Mature and Transfer student is a alternative experience to the typical university student, so come mix, mingle and learn about all the supports Laurier has to offer!
*Laurier defines a Mature student as someone above 21 years age in their first year of study and a Transfer student as a student transferring from another post-secondary institution.

Come on down for a power hour of fun games with your Summer Hosts! We've got some activities planned for bigger and smaller groups, so there will be a little bit of everything depending on your style.

Want to know how to get involved in your first year? Stop by this session to learn about the First Year Leadership Program, the LOCUS program for off-campus first-year students, and leadership offerings on the Milton campus. These programs are exclusive to first year students, and are a chance for you to get involved in your communities, get connected to campus, and grow your leadership skills. We can't wait to tell you more about how to get involved starting from day one on campus!

Calling all incoming Laurier Golden Hawks! Are you excited to connect with new people individuals at Laurier? Because we sure are excited to meet YOU!
This speed friending event will allow you to get to know your fellow incoming Golden Hawks through provided ice-breaker style questions and games. Join your Summer Hosts to get to know fellow Laurier students and make some friends in advance of your September start.

Join our upper-year International Student Leaders for an interactive session about life at Laurier as an international student! Get to know some of your upper year peers and ask them any questions you have about life as an international student, mix and mingle with other incoming international students, and get to learn more about the campus culture at Laurier and join the Global Goldenhawk Family!

Join your Summer Hosts for a hearty round of Guess That Sound! The game is exactly what it...sounds like. Get quick clips of songs, memes, and everyday objects. Guess what they are. Win the admiration of your peers.

Are you a first year student living off-campus? This event is for you! Whether you are moving to the area, commuting from home, or live locally in the area, you are part of the Laurier Off-Campus University Students' (LOCUS) program and have access to Off-Campus Advisors (OCAs) all year long for support. Come ask our upper year mentors questions you have about starting university, life as an off-campus student, and more!
