The Career Centre posts over 6,000 job postings for Laurier students and alumni each year.
You can search for these job postings in Navigator, the Career Centre’s online portal, by logging in with your Laurier credentials. Registered first-year students gain access to Navigator in August before the start of classes.
The Career Centre is connected with recruiters and hiring managers from top employers seeking final-year students for positions available upon graduation. Positions represent various sectors with opportunities for students from all disciplines.
Through our Graduating Student Employment Service (GSES) program, we offer:
Employers begin posting jobs early in September for positions that start the following year. Recruitment events also start the first week of classes in September.
*Some industries start recruiting even earlier, including accounting, capital markets, investment banking and finance.
Do I need to register for the GSES program? No, students in their final year of study are automatically registered in the GSES program by late August. You will see a new position-type search option in Navigator called 'Graduating Student Employment.' You will also start to receive the GSES newsletter in September.
How do I make the most of GSES?
The Career Centre posts hundreds of summer and part-time jobs on Navigator from off-campus employers each year.
Most summer positions are posted between December and April, though some begin arriving as early as September! Opportunities represent various industries and locations, including the GTA, across Canada and abroad.
Employers host in-person and online recruiting information sessions to connect with interested students. Attending sessions is a great way to stand out in the application process by connecting with employers prior to their job application deadlines.
Part-time job opportunities are received and posted throughout the year.
Laurier offers hundreds of on-campus positions every year, accessible on Navigator.
See our 'Jobs on Campus' webpage to learn about opportunities and for more information about the Laurier Work Study Program and the International Student Work Experience Program.
The Career Centre receives job postings daily from employers seeking candidates who are available for immediate, full-time work. More than 2500 immediate job openings are advertised annually in Navigator.
Opportunities come from a variety of organizations, including non-profits, small and medium-sized businesses, and multinationals. Positions range from entry-level to senior management, with in-person, hybrid, or remote work arrangements. Opportunities are primarily located within Ontario but occasionally include positions from across the country.

Laurier’s Career Development Centre provides employer recruitment services that align with national career centre practices guided by the Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers (CACEE). Through these practices, organizations who are legally permitted to operate in Canada and comply with federal and provincial employment legislation, may participate in recruitment programs at Laurier including full-time, contract, part-time, summer and internship job postings, interview arrangements, recruitment sessions, job fairs and other departmental programs.
The Career Centre does not assume responsibility for screening employer organizations nor does it endorse employment opportunities, labour practices, products or services of these organizations. It is your responsibility as a job seeker to adequately research organizations and to verify terms and conditions of employment that may be important in making employment decisions.
It is not the role of the Career Centre to monitor operational practices of employer organizations. However, you are encouraged to consult with Dorota Rams Skazinski, manager, employer relations and recruitment at the Career Centre regarding any concerns you may have with an organization.
Some employers hire students as part of the Student Work Placement Program (SWPP). If you have been hired for a position and the employer gives you a verification form to be completed by Laurier, the Career Centre can assist. Forms and employer questions can be directed to Katherine St. Louis, Associate Director, Operations & Experiential Learning, Career Development Centre. If you are a co-op student, please contact your Co-op Consultant.
