Areas of Support
Here are some areas of support that you can refer to as you transition to university life.
Undergraduate Course Registration Support
Tania our Learning Consultant offers 1:1 support to help you understand and navigate course registration.
We recommend attending your faculty-specific course registration webinar before utilizing our virtual 1:1 sessions.
You can also consult the Course Registration Guide, a step-by-step resource that walks you through the entire process of course registration.
Transfer Student Support
As a transfer student, there are additional steps to prepare for your first year at Laurier. Our office provides support in the following ways:
- Assistance understanding your transfer credits and how to get them reassessed.
- Guidance on navigating course registration, including when to register and which tools to use to choose your courses.
SEEDs First Year Transition Program
Students in their first year at Laurier are encouraged to participate in our SEEDs program.
SEEDs engages students in academic, social and cultural workshops and creates space for students to meet 1:1 with their Indigenous Support Coordintor and Counsellor. Students who participate throughout the year are eligible to receive a stipend.
This program is open to all first-year students, including transfer, mature, part-time, and full-time students.
