Certificates and Workshop Series

Many Laurier departments offer non-credit certificates or workshop series on a variety of topics which we have categorized into 5 themes:

These certificates are included as part of your Laurier Experience Record (LER). Many of the certificates can be completed at any time during your academic career at Laurier.

Enroll in a Certificate/Workshop Series

Open Enrolment in Navigator
  • Log in to Navigator and select the Certificate icon or the Program Participation tab.
  • Click the title of the certificate/workshop to review the requirements and click enroll.
Closed Enrolment (not visible in Navigator to enroll)
  • Most certificate/workshop series have closed enrollment, meaning that you will need to register directly with the department facilitating the workshop.
  • Find the list of all certificates by viewing the 5 certificate themes above, and register for the ones that interest you.
  • You do not need to take any action to have these certificates/workshop series added to your record because they are added automatically once you complete the program. The host department provides a list of students who completed the certificate to the LER administrator by the end of each year, and the certificate is then added to your LER.

Track Your Progress

Log in to Navigator and select the Certificate icon or the Program Participation tab. Select the certificate you are working towards to view your progress.

Download Your Certificate

To print or download your completed certificate from Navigator, select the Certificate Programs tab, select your certificate title, then click on the action circle in the bottom right to print/download.

Some certificates will appear within a few days or weeks after you complete the program. Other Departments will wait until the end of April, after all the sessions are finalized, to submit a list of completed students.
