We have a great Orientation event, Virtual Orientation: Start Strong in September, happening on Sept. 1 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Virtual Orientation: Start Strong in September
Kick off your Laurier journey with our Virtual Orientation: Start Strong in September session, designed to help you feel confident, connected, and prepared for virtual learning from day one.
Join us for an interactive evening where you’ll be welcomed to the Laurier community, meet fellow virtual students, and start building connections. You’ll explore what to expect in your first week of classes, learn how to navigate MyLearningSpace, and discover practical strategies for succeeding in a virtual learning environment. We’ll also introduce you to key student services and supports available remotely, so you know where to turn throughout your studies. The session wraps up with a live Q&A, giving you the chance to get your questions answered and feel fully prepared to begin your Golden Hawk experience!

Pre-Recorded Session Details
**Pre-recorded session descriptions will be available in July, and the pre-recorded session links will be made available closer to Fall Orientation**
Join CSEDI for a welcome session to learn who we are, what we do, and how students, clubs and associations, and campus groups can connect with our supports and resources. This session will include a brief introduction to CSEDI, ways to reach out, and an interactive Kahoot with prizes.

Golden Hawk Gaming (GHG) hosts regular game nights on both Friday and Sunday. Club members are able to vote on which games are played through a poll! During our programming block, we will showcase the games typically played at this event (Among Us, Gartic Phone, Jackbox, and more). All of the games played are free and accessible, making it easy for you to join in on the fun!

Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is a major part of our club. During the school year, members can interview for DM positions or sign up to join the available campaigns! In our programming block, we hope to introduce students to D&D by running a character creation workshop with the help of our experienced executives! Additionally, we hope to test out the characters by running scenarios that are often seen in campaigns to learn some of the dice-rolling mechanics D&D offers!

GHG is hosting our very own Valorant tournament! Students can enter and be randomly assigned a team to compete with! There will be 4 teams of 5 total competing for 1st! Each member of the winning team will receive a $20 gift card of their choice!
