Looking for a place to study on the Milton campus? There are plenty of options below to choose from! Take note of the amount of traffic (people moving through) and noise levels for each area to find the best fit. Some of our spaces require your OneCard to access.

Laurier Milton Academic Centre

Student Commons Lobby (MAC-100)

  • Location: First floor, main lobby area.
  • Restrictions: None.
  • Other notes: Full-time staff and support services are based within the lobby area.

The Student Commons Lobby is a bright, open space with a wide variety of seating options to suit different study styles, including booths, tables, high-top seating, and comfortable couches. As the main hub of the building, this space tends to have moderate to higher traffic and noise levels throughout the day, creating a lively and social atmosphere. However, quieter pockets can often be found depending on the time of day, making it a flexible option, whether you're looking to collaborate with your peers or settle in for independent work.

LMAC Student Comms Lobby

Locker Lounge (MAC-125)

  • Location: First floor, close to the MAC-117 computer lab & MAC-128 classroom.
  • Restrictions: None.
  • Other notes: A water refilling station is available in this space, along with day-use lockers. Please remember to bring your own lock!

The Locker Lounge offers a small amount of comfortable seating, making it a convenient spot to take a short break or wait before heading to your nearby class. As a pass-through area connected to the main lobby, foot traffic can be steady at times, and the space is best suited for brief stays rather than extended study sessions.

Cafe Lounge (MAC-129)

  • Location: First floor, by the Hungry Goose Cafe.
  • Restrictions: None.
  • Other notes: A microwave is available for student use in this space.

The Kitchenette Lounge is a cozy and welcoming space located right beside the Hungry Goose Cafe, making it a great spot to relax, connect with others, or enjoy a meal between classes. This area features a number of round tables and comfortable seating options - ideal for small group conversations or casual study.

Student Lounge (MAC-130)

  • Location: First floor, at the back of the campus, by our Cafe + Faith & Spirituality Space.
  • Restrictions: None.
  • Other notes: A Nintendo Switch is available for student use, along with a variety of board games and activities.

The Student Lounge is a vibrant space where students often gather to relax, connect, and unwind between classes. With the Nintendo Switch and board games available, it’s a popular hub for social activity and one of the livelier areas on campus. At the same time, its close proximity to large classrooms and the cafe, along with cozy study nooks throughout space, makes it a great option for studying as well.

Study Area (MAC-138)

  • Location: First floor, at the back of the campus, outside the MAC-137 classroom.
  • Restrictions: None.
  • Other notes: Two vending machines are located within this space: one offers a selection of drinks and the other is stocked with snacks.

This study area is a quiet and productive space tucked toward the back of the campus. Its location near a classroom, combined with plenty of table seating and access to power outlets, makes it a great option for focused work.
