Welcome to the Department of Economics, part of the Lazaridis School and Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University.
Our Mission
The Lazaridis School's Department of Economics is committed to the pursuit of excellence in teaching and research within a mid-sized university with a strong sense of community. The department offers undergraduate programs leading to an Honours Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics, Economics and Accounting or Economics and Financial Management. The department also offers a graduate program leading to a Master of Arts in Business Economics (MABE). Both the undergraduate honours Economics program and the MABE program offer a cooperative education option. Our location within the Lazaridis School enables us to offer interdisciplinary programs which combine a traditional education in economics with the acquisition of skills in accounting, administration or financial management.
