GOAL: A Golden Hawk's Orientation to Accessible Learning

After meeting with an Accessible Learning Centre (ALC) consultant, we will grant you access to GOAL

GOAL is available to all incoming students with disabilities registered with the ALC. The program helps to orient students to Laurier and accessible learning. Participating in GOAL is not required to register with the ALC; however, the ALC strongly encourages all students to complete GOAL so they are well prepared for learning with academic accommodations at Laurier.

GOAL is delivered through MyLearningSpace. It is made up of various content sections that you can complete at your own pace and refer to during the year. The content sections include:

  • What does the ALC do?
  • How do I...? How to videos
  • Course help & skill building
  • Additional Laurier supports & campus "need to knows"

You can access GOAL and all of its resources throughout the year. You can also be referred to GOAL anytime throughout the academic year if you are newly registered with Accessible Learning.
