After completing your first meeting with your Accommodation Consultant, it is time to put together your Personal Success Plan with your Learning Strategist in Accessible Learning.
Learning Strategists in Accessible Learning work with students to design individualized learning plans that support their academic success at Laurier. Plans may include skill building and strategies in studying, taking notes, planning and completing assignments, writing different types of exams, and effective time management.
We offer customized learning strategies programming and approaches depending on where you are in your academic journey at Laurier. Select from the options below.
After your first meeting with your Accommodation Consultant, we will contact you through your myLaurier email address to begin developing your Personal Success Plan. Our first email will include instructions on booking your first appointment with the Learning Strategist.

In this first meeting, you and your Learning Strategist will explore your current strengths as a student and identify areas where you like to grow. Together, you will co-create a Personal Success Plan - a customized roadmap with clear goals, tasks, strategies, and timelines to help you thrive academically at Laurier.

What does does success at Laurier look like for you? What are your academic and personal development goals?
What has gone well for you so far at Laurier? Are their any academic achievements that you are proud of?
What are your strengths as a student? Do you do well on exams, prefer papers, or thrive in group work? Are you confident in your notetaking and study habits?
What strategies have worked for you in the past? Are there tools and techniques you use consistently?
What are your goals for the upcoming term? Is there anything that might get in the way of achieving them?
Your responses will help guide the conversation and shape a plan that works for you.
