Welcome to Laurier! We’re so excited you’re here!

Orientation is your official kickoff to life as a Golden Hawk! It is your first chance to meet your people, explore your campus (or virtual space!), and jump into a lineup of fun, feel-good events designed to get you connected from day one.

Whether you’re joining us in Brantford, Milton, Waterloo, or online, your Orientation experience includes moments to learn, laugh, and feel like you belong. Every path looks a little different, but they all lead to the same thing: finding your place at Laurier! So, get involved, try something new, and kick off your Laurier experience the right way!

French Montana - Welcome Back Concert @ Bingemans

Get ready for an unforgettable night at Laurier Orientation 2026!

Join us outdoors at Bingemans in Kitchener on Thursday, Sept. 10, for an evening of live music, DJs, entertainment, and brand activations featuring:

Tickets are only $30!!! (+ $1.50 processing fee)

Come early to explore the brand activations, grab food and drinks, and get ready for a full night of entertainment. This is an outdoor event, so please plan accordingly and come prepared for the weather.

ONLINE TICKET SALES HAVE NOW CLOSED

Tickets will be sold at the doors to the concert for $30 (cash or card accepted)

Students who are planning to purchase a ticket at the doors are still eligible to take the bus.

Concert Shuttle Information

Getting to and from the concert is easy with our shuttle service between the Northdale Parking Lot (66 Hickory St. W, Waterloo) and Bingemans (425 Bingemans Centre Dr, Kitchener).

Before the Concert

Shuttle buses will begin departing from Northdale Lot at 4:30 p.m.
Buses will leave every 30 minutes until 7 p.m.
A total of 10 buses will be running, traveling in groups of 5 buses at a time.
Doors open at 5 p.m.
Concert starts at 7 p.m.
The 7 p.m. departure is the final pre-concert shuttle to Bingemans.

⚠️ We strongly encourage students to arrive early. Demand for shuttles is expected to increase closer to the concert start time, and students who wait for the final departures may experience longer wait times and busier loading areas.

During the Concert (7 to 11 p.m.)

Two shuttle buses will continuously travel between Bingemans and Northdale.
Shuttles will run approximately once per hour for students who need to leave early or return to campus.

After the Concert

Beginning at 11 p.m., all 10 buses will return to service to bring students back to Northdale.
Buses will depart every 30 minutes

⚠️ The highest demand for shuttles is expected immediately following the concert. Students leaving right at the end of the event should anticipate longer lines and wait times.

🚨 Don't miss the last bus! The final shuttle from Bingemans to Northdale departs at 12:30 a.m.

Shinerama

Shinerama is Canada’s largest postsecondary fundraiser, originating at Laurier in 1961. Each year, students continue to raise funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis, the common fatal genetic disease in North America affecting children and young adults.

Laurier Shinerama consistently has the largest campaign in Canada, with the most notable event being the infamous Shine Day that takes place on the Saturday of Orientation.
