Our senior courses include Game Theory, Groups and Rings, Real and Complex Analysis, Probability and StatisticsStochastic Processes, Regression, and Number Theory, to name a few.

We offer a BSc or BA in Mathematics and Financial Mathematics, combined programs with Finance and Accounting, Biology, Computer Science and Chemistry, and the double degree BBA/BA Financial Math. Students may also choose to take advantage of our co-op programs.

At the graduate level, we offer a MSc in Mathematics, as well as a PhD in Mathematical and Statistical Modelling.

Faculty

"Friendly, approachable, helpful" are the three words that best describe our faculty. We are committed to high-quality teaching and many of us are engaged in research programs. Our students frequently engage in Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)-funded undergraduate summer research programs that allow interested students to engage in current mathematical research.

Computing Support

Our excellent lab support staff, new computer labs, and innovative use of technology in the classroom all serve to enhance the learning experience.

Student Services

As an alternative to the library, we provide a lounge for students to study and meet in. The Mathematics Resource Centre is a venue for our students to consult reference materials and to interact across levels and programs. Adjacent to our facilities is the Mathematics and Course Support, which provides students with individualized help, to identify specific problems, and to access learning materials to help develop the skills that maximize the chance of success. We run a regular seminar for students covering topics from all areas of Mathematics.
