Academic Preparation Week is designed to set you up for academic success in your first year and allow you to experience what being a university student is like. Follow along with the Student Success team to learn about how to prepare and adapt your skills for university-level learning. Attend a mock lecture, participate in an academic success session, check out our online resources, join our senior student panel and more!

Want help navigating campus before Fall 2026 classes begin? Sign up for a tour in August to discover the best study spaces on campus, learn about campus departments and resources, and ask questions to a fellow Golden Hawk.
Tours will run for the month of August and are first come, first serve. You must register for a tour to attend.

Are you a student with a documented or suspected disability? Did you use academic accommodations in highschool? Will you require academic accommodations at Laurier? If so, please join us for a live info session hosted by Accessible Learning.
Gain insights into how high school and university learning systems differ, how to register with Accessible Learning and what documentation you’ll need, and answers to lots of popular questions covering topics like funding, privacy, and Laurier's approach to individualized accommodation planning.

This session is for parents and supporters of incoming Golden Hawks. In Part 1 of this webinar series, you'll learn more about what life is like for your student at Laurier. Gain insights into the opportunities and challenges your student may encounter in their first year and learn ways to support your student and yourself during this transition.

Want to know how to get involved in your first year? Stop by this session to learn about the First Year Leadership Program, residence life, and the LOCUS program for off-campus students.
