Activate Your Student Email and Zoom Account
Important information will be sent to your Laurier student email including the Laurier 101 Newsletter with important dates, reminders, and event registration information. Activate your student email and check it regularly to stay informed.
Many Laurier 101 events will be hosted through Zoom and are exclusive to incoming students. Before you register and attend the events, set up and configure your Zoom account.
Summer Kick-Off Party

Congratulations and welcome to the Golden Hawk family, class of 2027! Our Summer Kick-Off Party is July 12 from 7-9 p.m. and is open to incoming students only, and includes introductions to the Laurier 101 Hosts, some Laurier VIPs, and Laurier trivia! Registration is required with your Laurier student Zoom account.

LEAD @ Laurier - Summer Retreat

Leadership, Engagement, and Development
If you're looking to build upon your leadership skills and solidify a plan to become a leader at Laurier, then the LEAD @ Laurier Summer Retreat is for you! Join us on campus July 29 (Waterloo students) or July 30 (Brantford students) for a full day of engaging leadership activities, meeting fellow incoming students, and connecting with senior students, the Students' Union, faculty members, senior leaders at Laurier, and more!
Academic Preparation Week

Academic Preparation Week, August 21-25, is designed to set you up for academic success in your first year and allow you to experience what being a university student is like. Follow along with the Student Success team to learn about how to prepare and adapt your skills for university-level learning. Attend a mock lecture, participate in an academic success session, check out our online resources, join our senior student panel and more!
Summer Webinar Series

Our Summer Webinar Series aims to keep you informed all summer long! Registration is required for each webinar and a recording of the webinar will be posted to this page the following day. Students and their parents and supporters are welcome at the webinars.
In this webinar we’ll cover important study permit information, what you need to know about arriving in Canada, budgeting for life in Ontario and more! We will also save time to hear from two current international students about their transition to university and experience at Laurier!
University is expensive, and there are plenty of financial resources to support you. In this webinar you will learn more about OSAP including eligibility, timelines, and how to apply. We'll also cover applying for Laurier scholarships, awards, and bursaries, including information about the student profile forms and important deadlines you don't want to miss. Finally, we will cover some information about on-campus jobs, and other financial supports we offer, such as financial coaching and the money management program. Students and their parents and supporters are welcome to attend this webinar.
